I am Priyanka and I am a registered psychotherapist of the BACP. I have completed my undergrad in Psychology and my postgrad in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I have experience working with BAME groups, clients who have experienced traumas of different kinds, domestic violence, learning difficulties, brain injuries, grief, depression, and anxiety. I have also worked with clients struggling with ADHD, PTSD, and OCD.
Currently, I am currently working with male patients who have learning disabilities and are in a rehabilitation unit. Alongside this, I manage my private practice.
Being from a different cultural background, I have gained a first-hand experience of peoples' struggles in different cultures and how mental health is still a stereotype in many cultures. I started my journey by spreading mental health awareness, encouraging and supporting people who reached out for help. I continued to satisfy my altruistic needs and became a therapist to support those who need help. Now I am at a point where I feel empowered by empowering and supporting my clients with their emotions. I believe all small changes make a big difference!
Therefore, at Safe talks, I want to help you feel safe and more content with your authentic self.
